It's a nice story that is completely character driven. The performances are well executed. If you're expecting Superbad 2 you won't enjoy this movie. There are some genuinely funny moments, 90% of them come from Bill Hader and Kristen Wiig, which is great, but their scenes are few and far between.
The major issue I have with Adventureland is that on occasion the characters start feeling, too jaded, conceited, and self loathing for no apparent reason.
