I really only watched this because the cool Jesse Eisenberg in this. He's definitely one my favorite actors of all time and I must say he put out one of the greatest performance last year in the great film "Social Network". I also watched this because the film has everything for me. It's set in the 80's and amusement park and it has Jesse in it. I really enjoyed this thing for number of reasons but of course I liked mainly due to Jesse.

The film is about James (Eisenberg) who is planning to go to Europe and then after go Columbia University after it. Things don't go as planned and he ends at a job at a amusement park during the summer which leads to fun, love and also trouble.

The acting is great all around but really Jesse moves the film. He's such a likable guy which make you root for him every step of the way. Kristen Stewart also does a really good job and Jesse and she helps the film a lot.

The film also is stylized real well with the film having cool 80's things all around. The film really does seem like the 80's and feels very believable and some of the people in this look right out of the 80's.

The film also has a beautiful love story Jesse Eisnberg character and Kristen Stewart character. It is quite believable and Stwerat and Eisberg really have good chemistry together.

With this film, their is lot of joint scenes. I'm fine with this being in this film but of course I would never do it. The main problem is the characters smoke it at the most obvious places. One guys whips it out and smokes right in front of his parents for crying out loud.

Another flaw with the film is Eisbenrg other girlfriend in this. During the film, Stewart and Eisberg characters go through a rocky stretch and Eisberg character finds a new girl named Lisa. The whole thing is not believable and it is really useless to the film.

Adventureland is fun retro comedy that has some good characters, a nice love story and some acting and those are some reasons why this film is going to played in DVD player for years to come.
