Review of Advantageous (2015) by Jason K — 02 Aug 2015
I thoroughly enjoyed this film. It was haunting, creepy, fascinating, and heartbreaking at the same time. I was drawn into the story by the acting, beautifully done all around - the almost detached nature of Jules to the bubbling insecurities and fear of Gwen to the manipulations of the company Gwen where Gwen worked.
I loved the story telling. It kept me on the edge of my seat because it played on all the societal challenges we faced today and amplified them into a very realistic future. It's not a feel good movie.
It's a movie that will make you think and move you to tears (unless you don't have a heart).
