Review of Adulthood (2008) by Paul S — 28 Nov 2008
Another slab of gritty so called "realism" and a follow up to Kidulthood. The director tries to create more of a message for redemption than in his previous effort and also forces the audience to sympathize with his non redeemable characters.
Doesnt work in that sense for me it just seems to revell in emphasising crude and violent behaviour, which is the bane of present society. Not touching or funny in any sense and leaves a very sour taste.
If your an offensive and violent thug then youll possibly enjoy the ride. Having said that it was a slight improvement on the previous.
