Review of Adulthood (2008) by Keiichi F — 19 Feb 2009

Haven't seen 'Kidulthood', but you don't necessarily need to see it to appreciate this sequel. Gritty and pretty bleak... so a pretty good portrayl of the teenage wannabe-gangsta culture in london I reckon.

Strong performances and the dialogue is spot-on, I know people who speak like this!. I think it would have been an awesome feature on the dvd to be able to have subtitles translating the youth slang coz it's not going to make sense to some people lol.

Surprisingly thoughtful flick.
