The nonlinear method of storytelling kills any tension this movie tries to build. When bad stuff happens and things start to get thrilling, we cut right back to a happy love scene back on shore. The chemistry between the two leads feels forced and fake.
What could have been a great survival drama was weighed down by enough sappy love-story cheese to sink a boat... sorry, couldn't resist.
