And to think-- another movie that I thought I would love for its art-house drama, psycho-social based storytelling... WHAT?! Damn, I was wrong on this one...
I can say I was bored to tears and hated most of it. All eroticism and thrills imaginable are simply LOST in some sick watered-down Lifetime soap-opera movie of the week approach.
None of it is dreamy enough to be alluring and provocative in the way trailers presented... It is all jumbled, unreasonably dull and unbelievable.
Naomi Watts and Robin Wright deserve much better roles than this...
If you want an amazing film that deals with forbidden lust tearing relationships apart while putting them back together again, check out the 2004 film "THE DOOR IN THE FLOOR" with Kim Basinger and Jeff Bridges!!!!
Stay away from ADORE.. the writer must have slept through most his writing... Pour some coffee and viagra on this one. UGH.
