Like 'The Sweet Hereafter', this movie is pensive and thought-provoking. The premise is fantastic, but the delicate execution allowed it to wallow too much. I was never quite sure where the movie was headed or what the characters' motives were.
The actors did well with the material though; it's the script that was cloudy. I expected a lot more from it. I wish it were as hip as it's central character. Instead, it felt like a melodramatic art film.
