Review of Addicted to Love (2010) by Bill C — 10 Sep 2010
For a Rom-Com this is about as good as it gets. Although the plot is on the same order of predictability for other Rom-Coms, Griffin Dunne smatters the concept with some very interesting concept and characters.
Mathew Broderick is an astronomer, who dumped by his lifetime love Kelly Preston. For a Hollywood scientist he?s not annoyingly inaccurate, the best praise I can give for Hollywood?s interpretation of science.
Meg Ryan ex Tceky Karo is living with Kelly Preston now. Meg and Mathew become stalkers of there respective ex?s. Both of them battling over the right to live in an abandoned building across the street.
Broderick rigs up a photo multiplier to work as a Camera Obscurra so they can watch the going on in the apartment across the street. Broderick shows the strain by coming up with statistical methods for analyzing the couples happiness.
Meg plays a tougher character than in any of her other movies. She wears a wife beater. Full motorcycle leathers and rides a crotch rocket. I?m not really in love with the plot, but the character development and small details are excellent.
