It's very hard to make a movie this self-aware without exaggerating - and Adaptation pulls it off: It's hilarious, smart and entertaining with a great performance from Nicolas Cage. You really need to know the craft of screenwriting as well as Charlie Kaufman to be able to write about Charlie Kaufman writing about Charlie Kaufman.
