Review of Adaptation. (2002) by Dan O — 13 May 2012
Cage's only half decent film since he won the Oscar for Leaving Las Vegas in 1995 & he's still not great. Though he plays two characters, his acting is overshadowed by better actors who have done more with two character parts like Brad Pitt in Meet Joe Black & you question why they did not cast another person for Cage's brother.
The plot is good 'til the bizarre ending &, even if based on real events, this action packed finale feels out of place with the rest of the slow film.
