Review of Adaptation. (2002) by Colton M — 09 Dec 2014
If people thought that Nicolas Cage is a terrible actor, then they should see Adaptation as he's amazing in this. Charlie Kaufman knows how to write an original movie, while it does seem to be dangerous to write himself in it, but it really works and it never seem to be self-indulgent.
The chemistry between Charlie Kaufman and his brother may seem to be rude at first, but really works as it makes it more realistic and more real. The acting is really great, it's funny, and it has a great pace of not being too fast while not being too slow.
It's interesting, and it really does seem that Charlie Kaufman was struggling about writing a movie out of the book that doesn't seem movie material. Adaptation is another great movie from Spike Jonze and Charlie Kaufman after making Being John Malkovich and it seems to make a career from both of them.
