Review of Ad Astra (2019) by Ginak — 24 Sep 2019
This is one of the best films I have seen this year. Brad Pitt is superb – and he has to be since he is on camera throughout almost the entire film. The film itself looks amazing and I was never bored, but sadly it is not as great as Kubrick’s masterpiece 2001: A Space Odyssey or as original as Ridley Scott’s Blade Runner and Alien.
But Ad Astra is beautifully realized (I saw it in Dolby), and it has that terrific performance by Brad Pitt.
