Review of Action in the North Atlantic (1943) by Danielle K — 20 Mar 2008
One of Bogart's weakest films if I am to be brutally honest - it is after-all a thinly veiled propaganda film (view the drowning German submariners, compared to the heroic American merchantmen). Still Boagrt and Raymond Massey's performances elevate it above the usual schlock.
Interestingly a young Don Siegel was responsible for directing the montage scenes in the film.
