Review of Act of Valor (2012) by Nick — 30 Nov 2012
As real as a war movie might get. People want to criticize the acting, but these are not actors, they are real SEAL operatives who bring a sense of realism to the big screen. They don't deliver lines well but neither do a lot of people working in hollywood now.
This is about war. Not just the guns and action, but the operatives. The action sequences seem quite real, although I have zero basis of that other than my own imagination. Sure the plot is thin and generic but the cinematography choreography bring you into the action with first person perspective.
It's a great homage to men and women who protect this country and their service. Thank you armed forces.
