Review of Accepted (2006) by George T — 04 Aug 2010
Though it's an obvious hodgepodge of half-baked ideas and concepts lifted from other movies, the most important thing to remember with formula films is that they must be judged by the content with which they fill said formula. In that light, this film isn't awful.
Justin Long cannot yet carry a film, but he's given plenty of help by Jonah Hill and a hilarious, though by no means a stretch, performance by Lewis Black. Naturally, you can predict the plot turns and time them with a stopwatch, but that doesn't take away the film's ability to make you laugh.
