Review of Accepted (2006) by Josh S — 23 Jul 2013
This comedy about slackers who couldn't get into any colleges decide to make their own: "South Harmon Institute of Technology" or "S.H.I.T" for short.
Granted this film is a vulgar comedy about the underbelly of society's youth; it's still a very poignant statement on education and how we should embrace uniqueness and talents over the tired enforcement of subjects students may not even care for.
It has some great messages, funny jokes and good overall effort; however, the potential was greatly missed. It could've easily been a superb film that used comedy more as a way to balance everything out; but instead we're left with just a comedy that could've been tons better.
As it is, though, I would recommend it.
