Review of Absolute Power (1997) by Darryl K — 18 Mar 2011
Starting off as average pulpy criminal fiction with an interesting premise, things slowly begin to degrade as outrageous twists are piled upon each other finishing things off with an unbelievable ending making you wish you could get your time back.
It's unfortunate because Eastwood's directing isn't bad and performances by Harris and Hackman were watchable. It just goes to show that sticking to the tried-and-true (Hollywood) formula isn't always the right way to do things.
