Review of Absentia (2011) by Brandon W — 11 Aug 2014
To get ready to Oculus, I want to see Mike Flanagan's past movies, I found Absentia on Netflix and want to watch it. For a low budget film, Absentia is a decent horror film that kept me interested in what's going on.
I felt sorry for the main girl and when she's in danger of some sort, I didn't want her to either get captured or killed. It is spooky but it needs to be more spooky and that's the main problem, it's lacking of scares.
Luckily the plot was still interesting enough for me to like it. There was some dull moments but I still want to know what's going to happen. The acting is good for a small film. You don't see the scene in the movie that the dvd cover has which is weird.
Oh well, still a good horror movie.
