Review of About Schmidt (2002) by Tara C — 01 Mar 2008
It has been sometime since Jack Nicholson has given us the luxury of knowing how he became to be revered as one of our great actors. After years of grins and dark glasses and wiley speeches, we tend to revere him as the iconic personality more than the great actor.
This performance will put all that to rest. Jack is flawless and manuvers Jim Taylor's expertly written script with ease. Those of us who were lucky enough to experience Chinatown, One Flew Ove the Cuckoo's Nest, and The Postman Always Rings Twice will not be surprised by his performance.
All others will be reminded that Jack Nicholson is first and foremost an actor and one of the best of the craft.
