Review of About Schmidt (2002) by Archibald T — 03 Aug 2009
Alexander Payne may have scored greatness with his proceeding film after this one: Sideways, but I think it's this film which is his minor masterpiece. It's very truthfull and bittersweet. Schmidt doesn't have many qualities, but he does question a lot about his life.
I love it when characters do that, where they realizes things about themselves.
