Review of About Last Night... (1986) by Jennifer A — 06 Apr 2006
I'm beginning the rather lengthy task of entering into the database every film I have seen, at least those I have a decent memory of. Some may have the briefest of reviews while many will just have a number. Those films that I consider personal favorites and/or those that have some historical signficance I will add later when I have time for more lengthy reviews.
Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, directed by John de Ballo, is a horror spoof, with you guessed it, killer tomatoes!
American Gigolo, directed by Paul Schrader, explores the life of a male prostitute with a clientele of wealthy women. Richard Gere stars as Julian, the callboy. However everything falls apart when one of his trick's ends up dead. The films also stars Lauren Hutton, Bill Duke, and Hector Elizondo. Although not a great film, it's fairly fascinating and a pretty good blend of late 70's decadence and 80's materialism.
About Last Night, directed by Edward Zwick, is based on a David Mamet novel. The films ia romantic comedy starring Demi Moore, Rob Lowe, James Belushi and Elizabeth Perkins.
