Review of Abduction (2011) by Drew M — 04 Sep 2012
Wow! I don't know whether to give this film one star or five stars! If you've come looking for a serious thriller, you're in the wrong shop. However, if you crave a laugh-out-loud comedy, you're in for a treat!
First off, this film often feels like a pre-adolescent parody of the Bourne Identity. Intended to be a star vehicle for a post-Twilight Lautner, the horrible script is a downward spiral from the opening scene. They certainly didn't do T-dog any favors by making him spit out such horrible dialogue to go with his already bad acting. Even from an action standpoint everything is amateurishly set up and shot.
That being said, there were so many moments where I found myself laughing out loud and actually enjoying the absurdity of it all. A good one to watch with drunk friends.
