Review of A Woman Under the Influence (1974) by Simon L — 20 Jun 2007
Few films instill the taste of genuine human emotion (both the bitter and sweet) into the senses of its audience. But this film does so graciously. We are placed directly beside these ever unique characters and are not swayed or led off in any direction, our perceptions remain untainted.
As one is to discover what is in front of them rather than be TOLD. It's incredible how much is packed into this film, so much that it is difficult to pin point the "major" theme as it all seems to blend together into something we recognize and understand but cannot put into words.
You are left feeling content with the film's somewhat abrupt ending as the lives of these characters seem to continue.
