Review of A Woman Under the Influence (1974) by Adam P — 16 Apr 2008
A harrowing exercise in realism that's thoroughly depressing and fascinating. All the performances are superb, but the film belongs to Gena Rowlands. She is beyond exceptional; completely exposed and utterly heart-wrenching.
It's truly one of the most unforgettable performances I've seen.
