Review of A Woman Under the Influence (1974) by Eric H — 27 Mar 2013
The film challenges the day by say life of a family dealing with madness, as such it's a fantastic exposition on it, Rowlands and Falk are both powerful, their performances are spellbinding, they both make the script their own, to the extent that some of the film almost feels improvised and very real, the film is as funny as its tragic.
The film is also full of stereotypes that both define and defy convention. As low budget independent films go, they don't come much better than this.
