Review of A Walk Among the Tombstones (2014) by Brandon W — 20 Jan 2015
A Walk Among the Tombstones is surprisingly better than I thought from based the trailers that looks really good, which is rare to see coming form movies. Scott Frank does a fantastic job directing and writing this film, and can show that with talented people, it can make this movie better than your usual Liam Neeson film.
The plot is really good, and is very unpredictable. It's one of Liam Neeson's best films since The Grey, and he also does a fantastic job as usual. It's actually slower than The Grey, but it still kept me interested to know what's going to happen.
It's suitably bleak, it's smart, and it has great villains in it. The chemistry between Matt and TJ is really good and funny. The movie is not your typical Liam Neeson action film, but it does have some great gunfights, and the main character is not really a great fighter which is refreshing to see from Liam Neeson.
The characters are memorable, I'm a little disappointed that the movie didn't made as much money as Liam Neeson's other films as this is amazing and if this was made in the later future, I still would've love it.
