Review of A View to a Kill (1985) by Iain R — 24 Nov 2008
My first Bond film, so I have a soft spot for it. Plus, the soundtrack was one of my first cassette tapes too. Moore looks old, seems older and goes out with a whimper. It's one of the silliest plots of the entire series and Christopher Walken is too lovable to be a villain.
Tonya Roberts does away with the proto-feminist Bond Girls which had been emerging with one fell swoop as the most helpless of them all. Grace Jones is suitably terrifying as the femme fatale, just because she's Grace Jones.
