Granted, Roger Moore's seventh and last appearance as James Bond is a trifle geriatric, the love interest played by Tanya Roberts is vapid and helpless, and the slap-stick action runs amok. Still A View to a Kill supersedes lesser bond outings such as Diamonds are Forever, Octopussy or Moonraker with delightful tongue-in-cheek humor.
Christopher Walken's unbelievable performance as an evil French industrialist plotting to gain a monopoly on the microchip industry accents a movie that dots the final "i" in Roger Moore's truly uneven era of 007 history.
Almost a parody of himself, Bond maneuvers mildly difficult obstacles on horseback, engages in a hand-to-ax battle on the center span of the Golden Gate Bridge, and invents the snowboard. Fun for fans of the series.
