Review of A View to a Kill (1985) by Sham K — 02 Aug 2012
This movie is only semi-good. As Roger Moore's last Bond flick, I thought the idea behind the plot was very weak. I also thought the portrayal of how Max Zorin wanted to become a microchip mogul by wiping out silicon valley to make all of his technologies more valuable and dominate the world's technology had a weak scheme of how Zorin was going to execute his plan.
This movie is also laced with several 1980's clichà (C)s that distract from the Bond theme and at times are annoying. I did think Christopher Watkins did a good job with a rather uninteresting villain.
I really was hoping Roger Moore would go out with a band and this movie would be al lot more flamboyant since Roger Moore has done an excellent job as James Bond in his 7 movies, despite some mediocre plots.
Only reason to see this Bond movie is to complete the series. =I.
