Review of A Very Long Engagement (2004) by Ben B — 19 May 2009
A beautiful portrayal of post-war romance and longing that is one of Jeunet's least comical pieces, but one of his best works. The beautiful score, along with pristine visuals and superb acting enhance the wonderful story and well-formed plot.
In light of Jeunet's previous works, and compared to many other films, this is a near perfect work for me.
