This is a decent movie and a pleasant surprise. I especially wasn't expecting such a touching message from a comedy movie. But this is also one of its weaknesses in that it seemed to be suffering from an increasing comedy/drama identify crisis as it progressed.
Eddie Murphy plays a typical Eddie Murphy character. But then he surprised me when things took a serious role, to the point where I set a tear or two in the particularly poignant moments.
