Review of A Thousand Times Good Night (2013) by Dave C — 02 Dec 2014
In a film where the hero (Binoche) is clearly an adrenaline junkie with a sainthood fixation putting her work ahead of the marriage and children, it is hard still to not dislike her despite the important work photographing conflicts.
The opening sequence is astounding and it is echoed right at the end when she has lost everything and she finds someone prepared to lose more.
This isn't a simple film and offers no simple solutions and is all the better for it.
