Review of A Thousand Times Good Night (2013) by Eric H — 08 Mar 2015
This is my idea of a truly great woman's picture! That is--it's great for everybody! Juliet Binoche brilliantly portrays a photojournalist (based on the exploits of the film's male director) who is torn between her concern for the fate of the world's oppressed, and that of her own husband and daughters.
At first I thought she was just a newshound hooked on at being at the edge of danger--but the script and Binoche's great portrayal soon dissuaded me of my presumption. --You must see this film! It is not a polemic--it is a heartfelt study about human conscience.
