Review of A Tale of Two Sisters (2003) by Barbara F — 05 Jun 2008
I have seen so many horror movies, that I thought I was inured to them. This movie not only terrified me, it made me scream twice. I haven't screamed at a horror movie in years. That alone indicated to me just how amazing this movie is.
And although the movie did include its own take on classic horror cliches, it did so in a way that I did not see them coming, and it did so in a genuine way that made them seem refreshing again. The camerawork and color schemes were also captivating, as each room seemed to have an other-worldly color scheme, and we kept receiving shots at odd angles.
The ending was by far the most unsettling part of the movie, and I am very glad this movie has a non-linear and convoluted sctructure. All in all, an amazing movie.
