Review of A Tale of Two Sisters (2003) by Joseph H — 18 Feb 2009
A movie starts out really just children moving with their father and 'evil' stepmother. It kind of makes the first part really kind of just anxiety of this 'woman who dares to take the place of our mother'.
As the what happens becomes more bizarre, I then begin to suspect a ghost might be at work. Then it ends with one of the biggest mind fucks and slightly open ending ever really. If you require 100% of the story to be tied up at the end.
This might not be the movie for you. Much like Ichi the Killer, I really needed to watch the movie again to really get perspective on what meaning I really wanted to put in the ending.
