Review of A Tale of Two Sisters (2003) by Shanul H — 18 Sep 2009
I was able to first watch "Janghwa, Hongryeon" long before its American counterpart, "The Uninvited". To me, the old saying of "The Original is so much better than the remake" fits the bill.
I will not go deeply into the plot, because I do not wish to turn anyone away from this film, but I will say that this movie is one that the viewer will be sucked into, and will watch repeatedly, each time picking up new things that were missed.
The cast was perfect for this, Im Sun-yeong played the best "Protaganist" I have seen in a film of this caliber in some time. And the break out performance by the young, yet very talented Mun Geun-yeong is what simply brings me back over and over.
All in all, I recommend this movie to all who enjoy the "Mind Games" of Horror.
