Review of A Tale of Two Sisters (2003) by Aditya Varma K — 01 Nov 2009
Not really a scary horror film in my opinion. Its more creepy and subtle than in your face horror.
I had to read a plot summary after watching this to fully appreciate the events that took place, although I have a feeling this was more due to the language barrier than because of an issue with the story.
This movie is about 2 sisters who return to their fathers house after being in a hospital for an unknown reason. But upon their return, creepy things start happening in the house, and the story takes off from there. It kind of reminds me a bit of the ring in some places. I think every asian horror movie needs to have a scene where the antagonists face is obscured by their own long hair (a la Samara from The Ring).
Not a bad movie overall.
