Review of A Tale of Two Sisters (2003) by Gourab K — 06 Aug 2010
At first glance another asian horror film. At film's end the realization that you've just seen one of the most heart-wrenching, psychological movies that in my case left me tearing up first with anger, then with sadness.
A singularly great film that needs more than one viewing to appreciate all it's nuances. As one reviewer put it "The first time you see it it's horror, the next time a thriller, and the third time it's a drama".
This movie succeeds on all levels and is a true classic.
