Review of A Tale of Two Sisters (2003) by Renley R — 26 Jan 2011
Japanese horror elements = check Twin girls = check Neglectful parents = check plot = ... So here we have yet another one of a million creepy suspense movies where the plot takes a backseat to the most shallow of devices = shes crazy! This script is devoid of any quality dialog or character development.
The viewer is basically placed on a mild roller coaster of questions, most of which dont get resolved, until the end pops up and the director has to call it quits since the film has hit its supposed viewer attention span limit.
I give it three stars only to commend its atmosphere which is decent, but like 3 stars represents, not amazing. Otherwise this was a terrible movie.
