Review of A Streetcar Named Desire (1951) by Todd E — 28 Apr 2010
The fight between the refined, upper class world of Blanche Dubois and the brute, working class world of Stanley Kowalski. Both Brando's and Leigh's acting performances will always be remembered.
There is also a difference in their acting styles. Leigh has the articulated theatre acting style while Brando has the method acting style. This movie cannot be a more perfect adaptation of Tennessee Williams's play.
