I won't say I lved this film; however, I appreciated it. Marlon Brando gave a showstopping peformance as expected. JessicaTandy was also acceptable, butmost other actors I felt didn't fully attack their roles.
This seems like a film that people adore bcause it was groundbreaking and based on such a fantastic work, but in my opinion doesn't really stand the test of time. To put it simply, if a remake came out tommorow I wouldn't feel bad about it.
