Review of A Streetcar Named Desire (1951) by Ethan R — 06 Mar 2014
Vivien Leigh's performance was so unbelievable and so overdone. Marlon Brando was the only top notch thing about this movie. Malden and Hunter were pretty good as well even with this unimpressive adaptation.
A film overrated and over praised. It has it's moments but falls short with its slow paced under whelming story. Leigh's performance is quite laughable and I don't really understand this critical acclaim and the unoscar worthy performance from Leigh.
