Review of A Star Is Born (2018) by Fritz R — 22 Nov 2018

I saw a film that I heard is marked up to be one of the biggest Oscar contenders by movie critics and fans in 2018. And in the end, they were right. "A Star Is Born" tells a story about a famous musician who falls in love with woman who has a powerful gift when it comes to singing.

Even though the couple has some ups and downs, they still try to make a living with both their careers and each other. Even if one has a serious habit that might lead to his demise. It don't matter though.

Both Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper delivered strong performances in both their singing and acting. The songs were absolutely spectacular and will definitely make you want to listen to them over and over again.

The only thing that really tripped me up though was the scene transitions in both the beginning and late ending of the film. They do this thing where you watch one scene, but then it immediately transitions to a completely different scene like a snap.

It really did tripped me up a bit. Overall though, I give this movie a 9.5/10. It was truly a work of art!
