Review of A Star Is Born (2018) by Robert R — 08 Oct 2018
Anchored by a refreshingly naturalist directorial approach from Bradley Cooper (in his debut, no less), a soulfully rock-solid screenplay, and a truly winsome pair of lead performances, "A Star Is Born" turned this once admittedly vocal doubter into a trembling, crow-eating ball of emotions by the time its powerful third act came to a bittersweet close.
I hate to offer up such an anti-hot take here, but "A Star Is Born" really is the impactful, tragic, and endearing cinematic event everyone's been talking it up to be.
