Review of A Star Is Born (1954) by Kelly B — 24 Jun 2009
The stills added to restore the original cut scenes made a section of the film quite disjointed and confusing. However, Judy Garland is amazing in her role. It is eerie the similarities between this film and the tragic life of Judy.
The scene where she is crying as she goes on set and then turns on her showstopping smile was a great example of this. How many other talented stars will lose their lives because of the pressure of being a celebrity?
