Review of A Sound of Thunder (2005) by Eeva P — 25 Nov 2007
A fascinating Butterfly-effect premise totally lost somewhere in one of the filmsÂ? warp ripples. The story is stretched so thin that for most of the time; when the characters should be doing things of the sci-fi nature, they are instead moving from here to there, back to here, back to there that we finally just give up on the film and lose our patience over the lousy special effects.
After watching this film, I considered that perhaps the best adaptation Ive seen of this Ray Bradbury story might have come from a Simpsons Halloween episode in which Homer kills a prehistoric mosquito in the past which causes the extinction of donuts in the present.
