Review of A Sound of Thunder (2005) by Robert B — 25 Jan 2014
Time travel is exploited and a butterfly is stepped on in the past. What does this mean? Orangalizards, big plants, and enormous fish that look like vaginas with teeth.
I actually enjoyed the short story/concept and was looking forward to this movie. Perhaps with a larger budget and some script revision this film would have been passable. Unfortunately, the hokey dialogue and 2-D dilemmas were only exacerbated by the shockingly inept visual effects.
I also struggled with the 'time change in waves' theory. Don't get me wrong though. I've now watched this movie 3 times. I love it, but in a Showgirls way.
