Review of A Single Shot (2013) by James D — 13 Feb 2014
Actually for a movie I had never heard of, and rented strictly for Sam Rockwell, I was pleasantly ok with this film. It definitely wasn't the most exciting movie, but the story was enough to keep me from turning it off, and the acting was good.
You don't even get the best performance from Rockwell, I'd say the best goes to Jeffrey Wright as his friend "Simon," a complete drunk with a secret to hide. It's worth a rent in my opinion, but not one I will buy.
3/5 JD.
