Review of A Single Shot (2013) by Jeff B — 03 Sep 2016
If you like bleak, depressing, vile, base characters and environment, this is the movie for you. The characters are about as low as they go, drunk, drugged, immoral to the core. Even the "good guys" are not that superior in character.
About the only reason I even watched the film was because of Rockwell, who I enjoyed as the disgusting creep in The Green Mile, President of the Galaxy in Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and as Rick in 13 Moons. But even his skills couldn't pull this one out of the doldrums.
The story line was not that intriguing and fit to form becoming cliche once a few pieces of the puzzle fell in place. OK, but nothing to write home about. A good one time view and then into the forgettable dust bin. Sorry Sammy.
